A guided, experiential e-learning journey designed to deepen your understanding of work and open new perspectives on mental health at work.
A Different Perspective on Mental Health at Work
Mental health at work is often approached through the individual — through stress, resilience, wellbeing or coping strategies.
Rethinking Work offers a complementary perspective.
It starts from work itself: what people actually do and experience every day, and how their activity is shaped by relationships, organisations and wider contexts.
By looking more closely at real work, the course invites you to reconsider how mental health at work can be understood, protected and supported.
Rethinking Work contributes to organisations in their efforts to prevent psychosocial risks by helping people better understand how work organisation, working conditions and everyday work experience can affect health and the capacity to act.
What You Will Experience
Rethinking Work is not simply about learning new concepts. It is designed as a guided, experiential learning journey that supports a gradual shift in perspective.
Throughout the course, you follow Albert, a fictional character, and observe situations drawn from the realities of contemporary work.
Through videos, interactive activities and moments of reflection, you are invited to connect what you observe with your own experience. You watch, listen, interact and reflect — remaining actively engaged throughout the journey.
Gradually, you develop three capacities:
Observation · Reflexivity · Decentering
The aim is not to provide ready-made answers, but to help you look at work differently, ask different questions and identify new possibilities for action.
Who Is This E-Learning For?
Rethinking Work is designed for anyone seeking to better understand work and its relationship with mental health.
It can be explored from:
- an individual perspective, to reflect on and better understand your own experience of work;
- a managerial perspective, to look differently at the realities faced by individuals and teams;
- a professional support perspective, for those working in HR, occupational health, learning and development, organisational development, psychology, consulting or related functions.
The programme can also provide a shared starting point for managers, HR and L&D professionals to open discussions about work and the conditions that support mental health.
How It Works
Rethinking Work is a self-paced online e-learning course.
Rather than simply presenting information, the course progressively invites you to observe, question and reconsider familiar ways of understanding work.
The complete learning journey takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, but it is entirely self-paced. You can progress at your own rhythm, pause between sections, and give yourself time to reflect before continuing.
It can be followed individually or made available by an organisation to groups of employees, managers or professional support functions.
Access
Organisational access is available and can be adapted to the number of participants and the context in which the course will be used.
The e-learning can be offered as a stand-alone learning experience or combined with facilitated reflection sessions to deepen the learning and connect it with specific organisational realities.
Individual access is also available on request.
